The invitation
That scar on your heart is a door
The way the wound
never quite closed
so light learned
how to enter you differently
/
The way you yearn
with a hunger that completely
rearranges you
pulling you forward into
a deeper life
a fuller life
a life that feels true
That is a door
/
The way you seek beauty
even when you cannot see it yet
when the world feels dim
and your hands come back empty
but still you keep looking
with a kind of devotion
so vast it almost breaks you
That is a door
/
The way you love the water
the soil the sky
and the sand
so much it aches
and sometimes
you have to look away
just to stay inside your body
That is a door
/
Maybe nothing here is accidental
/
Perhaps there are no mistakes
/
What if every hollow
every fracture
every longing
every place that never sealed shut fully
was not meant to be fixed but opened instead
/
What if it is all just an invitation
/
Calling you forward to the other side
into all of the miracles that truly exist
